Philippians

Sittingin on the front desk listening to the teacher say "Open your bible to Philippians please". I could hear people flying the page of the bible to Philippians. Little by little the room got noisier and noisier until you could not hear your voice. Until in a strong loud voice the teacher said, "be quiet I trying to teach if you keep talking I will send you homework".  All of the sudden the class became quiet and we listen to the teacher. I put my hand on the face and i could only see the mouth of the teacher moving. On the other hand, I was thinking why Philippians was important and what is the meaning of this book?
The book of Philippians was written by the apostle Paul around AD 61 or 62. He wrote this book in Rome during time he was in prison. The primary purpose why Paul wrote this letter was to thank the Philippians for their concern and gift when they knew he was in jail. This was not only the purpose of his writing. The other reasons are he wanted them to know how he was in jail, encourage them to stand firm in any circumstances, to be unity, and the last thing was to commend Timothyand Epaphroditus to the church. Basically the letter is show the appreciation he had for the church of Philippians because they support him with his ministry. Also he encourages them to live out the faith with joy and unit. It really important this letter because it teach us that as beliefs we need to live in harmony with one another. It comes from mutual following the savior and centering their lives in Christ give them joy. We can apply this today because it we have harmony with God and with other people we will have joy. With this joy we could help others.
Suddenly I heard I loud voice in my ear saying, “Vero are you paying attention to me?” With a shacking voice I answer, “Yes”. In a high voice tone she said, “So tell me want was I saying?” she looked at me with an angry face. I was going to answer but the bell ring. When I left the class I thought this book need to be really important because we have bible class only for this book.

  1. Great use of dialogue to create a scene. I also really enjoyed your descriptions of the class getting louder and crazier. I certainly got caught up in the moment!
